Butter Chicken Gravy | பட்டர் சிக்கன் கிரேவி


Butter Chicken



Ingredients:


 To Marinate : (1 hour)

Butter Chicken Ingredients (marinate)

Chicken - 250 gm (boneless)
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1tsp
Required Salt
Oil for fry.


To Grind into Paste:

Butter Chicken Ingredients (to grind and paste)
Dry Red Chili - 3 no (soaked half an hour)
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Green Chili - 1 no
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp

Gravy:

Butter Chicken Ingredients (for gravy)
Butter - 2 tbsp
Fresh Cream - 3 tbsp
Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Nutmeg Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cashew-nut - 20 to 25 (powder)
Kasoori Methi - 2 tsp (crushed)
Water - 1/2 cup
Required Salt.



Method :


  • Marinate chicken pieces with mentioned ingredients for an hour.
  • Shallow fry them in hot oil and keep aside.


  • Grind mentioned ingredients and keep aside.
Steps To Make Butter Chicken :
  • Heat butter in a pan, add ground paste, cashew-nut powder and 1/2 cup of water, saute and bring to boil.
  • Add fried chicken pieces, tomato sauce, sugar, required salt and nutmeg powder, stir well and cook for 5mins. 
  • Finally add fresh cream and kasoori methi and some butter, mix well and remove from flame, ready to serve.
