Steamed Green Chicken | Simple Coriander Masala Chicken Dry Gravy

Ingredients :

Green Chicken Gravy Ingredients
Chicken - 250 gm (chopped)
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cardamom - 2 no
Cloves - 5 nos
Cinnamon Stick - 2 nos (2" long)
Oil - 3 tbsp

To Grind into Paste & Marinate : (1 hour)


Coriander - 1/4 bunch
Small Onion - 100gm (else Large Onion - 1no chopped)
Green Chili - 4 no
Required Salt.
Method :

Steps To Marinate :

  • Grind the mentioned ingredients into fine paste.
  • Then marinate the chicken pieces with ground paste for an hour. (shown in above image)

Steps To Make Green Chicken Gravy :

  • Pressure cook the marinated chicken pieces for 1 whistle.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the pressure cooker and keep aside. (shown in above image)
Green Chicken Gravy
  • Heat oil in a kadai \ frying pan, roast the fennel seeds, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon stick.
  • Add the cooked chicken pieces, cook until all water reduced and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : 

Serve hot with Dosa or Chicken Coconut Curry.
