Hot and Sour Fish Curry


Ingredients :

Hot & Sour Fish Curry Ingredients

Barracuda Fish - 500 gm
Green Chili - 3nos (2", slit)
Tamarind Water - 1 and 1/2 cup (2" ball size)
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Oil - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Grind Into Paste 1 :

Coconut - 50 gm
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp 

Grind Into Paste 2 :

Shallots - 100 gm ( else Big Onion - 1no)
Garlic - 5 cloves
Tomato - 1no

Method :


Steps To Make Hot and Sour Sheela Fish Curry :
  • Grind the mentioned ingredients separately and keep aside.
  • To make fish curry, combine both ground masala paste, green chili, tamarind water, curry leaves and required salt in a pan and mix well.
  • Then heat pan and bring to boil.
  • Cook for about 5 to 7min over medium flame or until raw smell leaves.
  • Add fish pieces and oil, cook for 5min over medium flame.
  • Turn off the stove, cover and leave it for 5mins to oil separate from the curry and ready to serve.

Hot and Sour Fish Curry

Serving Suggestion : Serve Hot with Rice, Chapati, Dosa or Idly.
