Ingredients :

Prawn Gravy Ingredients
Prawn - 250gm (cleaned, washed)
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Tomato - 2 no (finely chopped)
Ginger and Garlic - 1 tsp (crushed or paste)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stks
Coriander Leaves - for Garnish
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Prawn Tomato Gravy :

  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the onion and curry leaves, saute till the onion becomes light brown colour.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste, saute until its raw smell leaves.
  • Add the tomato and saute until the tomato becomes soft.
  • Add the prawn pieces, stir well for about 1 or 2mins.
  • Add the red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and required salt, saute for an minute or until its raw smell leaves.
  • Finally add half a cup of water and cook for about 5mins over simmer or until in a thick gravy consistency. 
  • Remove from flame and garnish with coriander leaves and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion: Serve the prawn tomato gravy with the white rice and rasam.
