Arai Keerai Masiyal | Arai Keerai Masiyal Pressure Cooking Method

Ingredients :

Arai Keerai - 1\2 bunch (cleaned and washed)
Sambar Onion - 1\2 cup
Tomato - 1 cup
Garlic - 10 cloves
Green Chili - 2 no
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1\4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1\4 tsp
Sambar Onion - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Dry Red Chili - 2 no
Salt - as required.
Method :
In a pressure cooker pan, add the arai keerai, sambar onion, tomato, garlic, green chili and quarter cup of water.
Cover and pressure cook for one whistle over high flame and two to three minutes over simmer.
When all the steam has released, open the pan and cool the keerai mixture completely.
Grind the cooked keerai coarsely with required salt.
To temper, heat the oil in a pan, temper the mustard seeds and urad dal. Add the sambar onion and dry red chili, saute till the onion turns slightly golden colour.
Add the temper ingredients into keerai mixture, mix well and the arai keerai masiyal is ready.
Notes: Don't need to add more water to cook the keerai mixture. Always open the pressure cooker pan, after the steam released.

Add the tempered ingredients into the keerai mixture, mix well and the keerai masiyal is ready.

Serving Suggestion: Serve the arai keerai masiyal with the fried vazhakkai.
