Coconut Milk Pulao | தேங்காய் பால் புலாவ் | Thengai Paal Saadam


Ingredients :

Coconut Milk Pulao Ingredients

Basmati Rice - 1 cup (soaked 15 min)
Coconut Milk - 1 and 3/4 cup
Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup
Small Onion - 1/2 cup (or) Onion - 1no (chopped)
Garlic - 8 nos
Cloves - 3 nos
Green Chili - 1 no (slit)
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :


Steps To Make Pulao :
  • Heat ghee in a pressure cooker pan, roast cloves.
  • Add onion, garlic and green chili, saute for an minute until slightly golden brown.


  • Add soaked rice and mint leaves, mix it and cook for an minute or until the water has reduced completely.


  • Pour coconut milk and required salt, mix well and close the lid, cook for 1 whistle and 5min in simmer.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open pressure cooker, mix well and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Fried Egg or Gobi Manchurian .
