Simple Coconut Mutton Curry | மட்டன் குழம்பு | Goat Meat Curry - Easy Pressure Cooker Cooking Method


Coconut Mutton Curry


Ingredients :

Coconut Mutton Curry Ingredients

Mutton - 250 gm (chopped, washed)
Small Onion - 100 gm (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder -1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cardamom - 2 pods
Cinnamon Sticks - 4 no (2" long)
Cloves - 3 nos
Coriander Leaves - Garnish
Water - 1 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

To Grind into Paste :

Coconut - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp


Method :

  • Grind the mentioned ingredients into fine paste with required water and keep aside.
Steps To Make Mutton Curry :
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker pan, roast the cardamom, cinnamon stick and cloves until aroma arise.
  • Add onion and mutton, stir well until mutton moisture reduced.
  • Add red chili powder, ground paste, water and required salt, mix well.
  • Cook for 1 whistle and 15-20min in simmer.
  •  When all the steam has escaped, open the pressure cooker pan, mix well and garnish with coriander leaves. Ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Chapathi, Poori, Nan, Rice...
