Mutton Gravy


Ingredients :

Mutton Gravy Ingredients


Mutton - 250 gm (cleaned, chopped)
Small Onion - 1/2 cup
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds -  1/4 tsp
Cinnamon Sticks - 2 no (2" long)
Cloves - 3 no
Coriander Leaves - Garnish
Oil - 2 tbsp
Water - 1 and 1/2 cup
Salt to taste.

To Grind into Paste :

Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp
Cashew nut - 10 to 15 no
Coconut - 50 gm
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1/4 tsp

Method :

Steps To Make Mutton Gravy :
  • Grind mentioned ingredients in to fine paste and keep aside.
  • In a pressure cooker pan, roast cinnamon sticks, cloves and fennel seeds with oil.
  • Add onion and saute until slightly golden brown colour.
  • Add mutton pieces, saute and cook until its moisture has reduced.
  • Add tomato, red chili powder, coriander powder and ground paste, mix well and saute until tomato becomes tender.
  • Add water and required salt, mix well.
  • Close the lid and cook for 1 whistle and 20min in simmer.
  • When all the steam escaped, open pressure cooker and add coriander Leaves, mix well and ready to serve.



 Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Mutton Sukka or Mutton Masala Sukka.
