Creamy Coconut Milk Chicken Gravy


Ingredients :

Creamy Coconut Milk Chicken Gravy Ingredients

Chicken - 250 gm (chopped)
Coconut Milk - 1 cup (1/4 coconut)
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves for Garnish
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

To Grind Into Fine Paste :



Cashew-nut - 20 no
Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp




Method :

Steps To Make Creamy Coconut Milk Gravy :
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker pan, add onion and saute until slightly golden brown colour.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute until its raw smell leaves.
  • Add tomato, stir well and cook till the tomato becomes tender.


  • Add turmeric powder and red chili powder, saute for few seconds.
  • Add chicken pieces and saute until the chicken moisture has reduced completely.
  • Then add coconut milk, mentioned ground paste, coriander leaves and required salt, mix well.
  • Close the lid, cook for 1 whistle and 5min in simmer.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the lid and garnish with coriander leaves and ready to serve.

Creamy Coconut Milk Chicken Gravy

Serving Suggestion : Serve with Chapati or Naan.
