Goat Meat | Mutton Sukka with Garlic | மட்டன் பூண்டு சுக்கா

Garlic Meat / Mutton Sukka

Ingredients :

Garlic Meat / Mutton Sukka Ingredients

Mutton - 200 gm (boneless, chopped)
Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp (crushed)
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Small Onion / Shallots - 100 gm or Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Garlic -  1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Dry Red Chili - 3 no (slit, seeds removed)
Curry Leaves - 1 skt
Bay Leaves - 2 no
Water - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :

Steps To Make Goat Meat / Mutton Sukka :
  • Pressure cook the mutton with turmeric powder, ginger garlic, water and required salt for mutton for 1 whistle and 15mins in simmer. 
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the pressure cooker pan and keep aside. (shown in above image)

  • Then heat oil in a kadai / frying pan, add garlic and dry red chili, saute for few seconds.
  • Add bay leaves, onion, curry leaves and 2pinch of salt, saute until the onion becomes slightly golden brown colour.
  • Add pressure cooked mutton pieces and stir well and cook til the water has reduced completely ie., dry. Ready to serve.

Garlic Meat / Mutton Sukka

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Rasam and Mutton Curry  or Bone Mutton Curry.
