Goat Liver Fry / Eeral Varuval


Ingredients :

Goat Liver - 150 gm (washed, cut into small pieces)
Shallots / Small Onion - 3/4 cup (or) Large Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Dry Red Chili - 2 no (split into two)
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/2
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Gingelly Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :


Steps To Make Eeral Vathakkal :
  • Heat oil in a kadai / pan, saute the onion and dry red chili til the onion becomes light golden brown colour.
  • Add in liver pieces, stir well and cook til its moisture has reduced completely.


  • Add turmeric powder and required salt, stir well and cook for about 7 to 10 min in medium flame.
  • Finally add pepper powder and cumin seeds powder, saute for an minute, remove from the flame and ready to serve.


 Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Rasam and Mutton Curry.
