Carrot Halwa \ Gajar Ka Halwa Dessert

Carrot Halwa


Ingredients :

Carrot Halwa

Fresh Carrots - 500 gm
Milk - 2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cashewnuts - 30 nos
Cardamom - 4 nos (crushed or powder)
Ghee - 5 tbsp
Salt - 1 pinch

Method :

Carrot Halwa

  • First to clean Carrot, gently scrab the skin by knife and grate it and keep aside.

  • Now Heat Ghee in a pan, roast Cashewnuts til golden colour and keep aside.
  • Add Grated Carrot and saute for 5 mins until raw smell leaves.

  • Add Milk and bring to boil.
  • Then close the lid and cook for 10 mins in simmer until in a thick consistency.

Carrot Halwa

  • Now add Sugar and pinch of Salt, mix well and cook until thick halwa consistency.
  • Finally add roasted Cashewnuts and crushed Cardamom, mix well and turn off stove and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve warm or cool with Crispy Butter Murukku / Thenkuzhal Murukku
