Egg - Tomato - Chicken Gravy


Ingredients :

Egg - Tomato - Chicken Gravy Ingredients

Chicken - 500 gm (chopped)
Egg - 1 no (beaten)
Tomato paste - 1 no (small)
Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
Boiled Cashew nut paste - 25 to 30 nos
Large Onion - 1 no (chopped, lengthwise)
Garlic - 7 Cloves (finely chopped)
Ginger - 1" long (finely chopped)
Red Chili Powder  - 1 tsp
Coriander Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Bay Leaf - 2 no
Cinnamon Stick - 2 no (2" long)
Cloves - 3 no
Water - 1 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :


Steps To Make Spicy Egg Tomato Chicken Gravy :
  • Heat oil in a kadai / frying pan , roast bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon stick, then add ginger garlic and saute few seconds.
  • Add onion and saute until the onion becomes slightly golden brown colour.
  • Add chicken pieces and saute til the chicken moisture has reduced completely.


  • Add red chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander seeds powder, saute until its raw smell leaves.
  • Add tomato paste and required salt, saute for an minute.
  • Pour water and cook for 15minutes in simmer, then add cashew-nut paste, mix well and again cook for another 5mins in simmer.


  • Add tomato paste and saute for few seconds.
  • Add beaten egg and saute until the egg cooks fully.
  • Finally add cumin seeds powder and pepper powder, mix well and ready to serve.


Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Chapati or Dosa or Idly or Naan or White Rice
