Spicy Soya Bean Gravy


Ingredients :

Spicy Soya Bean Gravy

Soya Bean - 100 gm (soaked overnight)
Large Onion Paste - 1 no
Large Tomato Paste - 2 nos
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Bay Leaves - 2 nos
Cloves - 5 nos
Cardamom - 2 nos
Cinnamon Stick - 3 (2" long)
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
Oil or Butter - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :


Steps To Cook Soya Bean in a Pressure Cooker Pan :
  • Pressure cook the soaked soya bean with a cup of water and required Salt for 1 whistle and 5 mins in low flame.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the pressure cooker and keep aside.

Steps To Make Spicy Soya Bean Gravy with Coconut Milk :
  • Heat oil in a pan, roast the bay leaves, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.
  • Add onion paste and ginger garlic paste, saute until its raw smell leaves.
  • Add tomato paste, saute and cook til the moisture has reduced completely.

Spicy Soya Bean Gravy

  • Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and required salt and saute til its raw smell leaves.
  • Pour coconut milk and bring to boil.

Spicy Soya Bean Gravy

  • Add pressure cooked soya bean and coriander leaves, mix well and cook for 5mins over low flame until gravy consistency and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Atta Poori or Chapati
