Very Simple Hot Chicken Gravy


Ingredients :

Very Simple Chicken Gravy

Chicken - 500 gm (chopped)
Shallots - 100 gm
Dry Red Chili - 5 to 6 nos
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp + 2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 1tbsp + Garnish (chopped)
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make Chicken Masala :
  • Dry roast the cumin seeds and dry red chili in hot kadai \ frying pan and keep aside.
  • Then saute the shallots with 1 tsp of hot oil in a kadai \ frying pan until the onion colour change and allow to cool completely.

  • Coarsely grind the roasted cumin seeds and dry red chili together.
  • Add in sauteed shallots and again grind into fine paste with little water and keep aside. (Shown in above image)

Steps To Make Hot Chicken Gravy :
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker pan, add chicken pieces and saute until the chicken moisture has reduced completely.
  • Add ground masala paste and saute until its raw smell leaves.
  • Pour water and add required salt, close the lid and cook for 1 whistle and 5Mins in low flame.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the pressure cooker pan, add coriander leaves, mix well and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Dosa or Idly or Rice
