Very Simple Tempered Potatoes Poriyal

Ingredients :

Potato Poriyal

Potatoes - 2 nos (chopped)
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Dry Red Chili - 2 nos
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal / Black Gram (skinless / split) - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stks
Oil - 3 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :
Potato Poriyal

  • Heat Oil in a Kadai, add Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal, after splutter add Asafoetida, Curry Leaves and Dry Red Chili, stir well for few seconds.

  • Then add Potatoes, Turmeric Powder and required Salt, saute for 10Min's to 15Min's in medium flame and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Tamarind Rice or Toor Dal Rice
