Bottle Gourd and Prawn Curry


Ingredients :

Bottle Gourd and Prawn Curry

Bottle Gourd - 1 cup (chopped)
Prawn - 1 cup (chopped)
Tamarind Water - 1 cup (1/2" ball size)
Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Green Chili - 2 nos
Ginger & Garlic - 1 tsp (crushed)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder -1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Murstard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Water - 1 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :

Bottle Gourd and Prawn Curry

  • Heat Oil in a pan, first to temper, add Mustard Seeds and Urad Dal after splutter add Onion and Curry Leaves, saute until light golden colour.
  • Add Ginger, Garlic and Tomato, saute for 1 min.
  • Then add Bottle Gourd, stir well and cook for 1 min.
  • Now add Prawn, Red Chili Powder, Coriander Powder and Turmeric Powder, saute for 1 min.

Bottle Gourd and Prawn Curry

  • Add Tamarind Water and Water, cook for 10mins.
  • Add Coconut Milk, cook for 2mins.
  • Finally add Coriander Leaves and stir well and ready to serve.

Bottle Gourd and Prawn Curry

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with White Rice.
