Onion Mutton Masala Sukka
Ingredients :

Onion Mutton Masala Sukka

Mutton - 250 gm (boneless)
Small Onion - 100gm (1/4 cup) (chopped)
Cloves - 5 nos
Star Anise - 1 no
Cinnamon Stick - 2 nos (2" long)
Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 3/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :

Onion Mutton Masala Sukka

  • Heat Oil in a Pressure Cooker, roast Cloves, Star Anise and Cinnamon Stick, then add Onion and saute until light golden colour.
  • Add Ginger & Garlic Paste, saute until raw smell leaves.
  • Add Mutton pieces and saute until there should not be Water,
  • Now add Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Cumin Seeds Powder, Fennel Seeds Powder, Pepper Powder and required Salt, saute until raw smell leaves.

Onion Mutton Masala Sukka

  • Now add Water, close the lid and cook for 1 whistle and 15mins to 20mins in simmer.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open Pressure Cooker and saute until there should not be moisture.
  • Finally garnish with Coriander Leaves and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Mutton Curry, Rasam and Curd.
