Steamed Simple Caramel Custard Pudding with Red Banana


Ingredients :

Steamed Simple Caramel Custard Pudding with Red Banana

Milk - 2 cups
Egg - 2 nos
Lemon juice - 1/2 no
Ripe Red Banana (or) Apple - 1 no (sliced)
Banana Essence (or) Vanilla Essence  - 2 tsp (+ or -)
Sugar - 5 tsp
Sugar for Caramel - 2 tbsp

Method :

Steamed Simple Caramel Custard Pudding with Red Banana

  • First Brush Lemon Juice on sliced Banana, then arrange it in a mould.
  • Then to Caramelize Sugar, melt Sugar and 1tbsp of Water til becomes brown colour and charred, then pour over the Banana Slice and keep aside.

  • Now in a bowl, cream Egg and Sugar till light and creamy, then add Milk and Essence, mix well.
  • Pour the mixture slowly through a strainer into a Aluminium mould.
  • Cover tightly with Aluminium Foil or grease proof paper.
  • Steam in Pressure Cooker for 20mins without weight in medium flame.
  • Refrigerate it, Un-mould and serve.
