Mint Flavoured Quail Fry / Pudina Kaadai Varuval


Ingredients :

Mint Flavoured Quail Fry / Pudina Kaadai Varuval

Quail / Kaadai - 3 nos
Mint Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Butter / Ghee - 1 tbsp

To Grind into Paste :

Small Onion - 12 nos
Ginger - 1" long
Garlic - 8 Cloves
Cinnamon Stick - 2 " long
Cloves - 3 nos
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Curd - 1 tbsp Salt to Taste.

Method :

Mint Flavoured Quail Fry / Pudina Kaadai Varuval

  • First grind mentioned ingredients into fine paste without water.

  • Then marinate Quail / Kaadai with ground paste, Mint Leaves and Coriander Leaves for an hour.

  • Now steam in Pressure Cooker (without weight) for 5 to 7mins in medium flame. When all the steam has escaped, open Pressure Cooker.
  • Then Shallow fry steamed Quail / Kaadai with Ghee into a dry consistency and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with any Biryani
