Butter Prawn Masala Gravy / Eral Gravy


Ingredients :

Butter Prawn Masala Gravy / Eral Gravy

Prawn - 250 gm
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Tomato - 2 nos (chopped)
Ginger - 1" long
Garlic - 7 Cloves
Cashew nuts - 20 nos
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Kasuri Methi - 2 tsp
Butter - 4 tbsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Salt to taste.

Method :

Butter Prawn Masala Gravy / Eral Gravy

  • First Roast Kasuri Methi with 2tsp of Butter and keep aside.
  • Now add Onion, Garlic and Ginger, saute until light golden brown colour.
  • Add Tomato and Cashew nuts, saute for 3mins.
  • Let it cool and grind into fine paste.

Butter Prawn Masala Gravy / Eral Gravy

  • Heat remaining Butter, add ground paste and saute for 1 min.
  • Add Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder and Salt, saute until raw smell leaves.

Butter Prawn Masala Gravy / Eral Gravy

  • Add Prawn and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add Water and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.
  • Finally add roasted Kasuri Methi, stir well and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Rice or Dosa or Chapatti or Naan
