Special Vermicelli Curd Dosa / Semiya Thayir Dosai - South Indian Recipe


Special Vermicelli Dosa / Semiya Dosai
Ingredients : (3 medium size Dosa)

Special Vermicelli Dosa / Semiya Dosai

Vermicelli / Semiya - 1 cup (ghee roasted)
Curd - 1 cup (little soar)
Rice Flour - 1/2 cup
Ginger - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Water - 3/4 cup (+ or -)
Salt to taste
Required Ghee or Butter.

For Topping :

Grated Carrot  - 1 no
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Kashmir Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp

Method :

Special Vermicelli Dosa / Semiya Dosai

  • To make Dosa batter, combine all the mentioned ingredients in a bowl (except Ghee/Butter and Topping Ingredients), mix well and let it soak for 1/2 an hour.

Special Vermicelli Dosa / Semiya Dosai

  • Now to make Dosa, heat 1 tsp of Ghee or Butter in a tawa, pour 2 ladle of batter, spread into circle, for topping add Onion, Carrot, Coriander Leaves, pinch of Chili Powder and teaspoon of Ghee or Butter one by one. Cook for 3mins(+ or -) in medium flame, then turn into another side and again cook for 2mins(+ or -) in simmer and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Mint Chutney.
