Ingredients :

Potato / Aloo - 3 nos (boiled, peeled off skin and smashed)
Maida / All Purpose Flour - 2 cups 
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Milk - 2 tbsp (add if required)
Salt to taste
Oil for frying.

  • First smash boiled Potato, then combine all ingredients (except milk and Oil), mix well and knead into soft dough (add milk if required).
  • Let it soak for 30mins.
  • Make small balls out of it. Parallely heat Oil in a Kadai for deep fry.

  • Then roll into circle with Oil, It should not be too thick and too thin.
  • Now drop the small piece of dough into the Oil, it should fry up immediately and comes up to the surface, then keep the flame into medium, then drop the Poori / Puri, when it comes up to the surface, gently press it with ladle to puff up, cook for golden brown colour on both side and then ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Butter Paneer Masala
