Simple Rava Upma | Sooji Upma | Semolina Upma | ரவா உப்புமா


Rava Upma | Sooji Upma | Semolina Upma | ரவா  உப்புமா


Ingredients :

Rava Upma | Sooji Upma | Semolina Upma | ரவா  உப்புமா

Rava - 1 and 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 2 nos (slit)
Urad Dal - 1 tbsp
Bengal Gram - 1 tbsp (split)
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Water - 3 cups
Salt to taste.

Method :

  • First dry roast Rava til very light brown colour and keep aside.

  • Now to make Upma, temper Mustard Seeds with Oil, after splutter add Urad Dal and Bengal Gram, saute for few seconds.
  • Add Onion, Green Chili and Curry Leaves, saute for an minute.

  • Add Water and required Salt, bring to boil.
  • Add Rava and stir well continuously without lumps until water reduced completely.
  • Ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Sugar.
