Potato Wedges | Spicy Potato Wedges Poriyal | உருளைக்கிழங்கு பொரியல்



Ingredients :

Potato Wedges | Spicy Potato Wedges Poriyal | உருளைக்கிழங்கு பொரியல்

Potatoes - 250 gm (cut into long fingers)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Mint Leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
Kasoori Methi - 1 tsp (fenugreek dry leaves)
Lemon Juice - 1/2 no
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :

Potato Wedges | Spicy Potato Wedges Poriyal | உருளைக்கிழங்கு பொரியல்

  • Heat Oil in a kadai, temper cumin seeds and asafoetida, after splutter add potato and saute 3min in simmer til light golden brown colour.
  • Add Red Chili Powder, Coriander Seeds Powder, Turmeric Powder, garam masala and required salt, saute til raw smell leaves.
  • Add mint leaves and coriander leaves, saute for few seconds.
  • Add kasoori methi, mix well and remove from flame.
  • Finally add lemon juice and mix well, ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Sambar Rice or Curd Rice.
