Paneer Stuffed Capsicum with Gravy | பனீர் குடைமிளகாய் கிரேவி | Paneer Kudaimilagai Gravy



Ingredients :

Paneer Stuffed Capsicum with Gravy | பனீர் குடைமிளகாய் கிரேவி | Paneer Kudaimilagai Gravy

Capsicum - 3 no
Grated Cheese - 1 cup
Oil - required
 
For Stuffing :

Paneer / Indian Cottage Cheese - 1 cup (grated)
Green Peas - 1/2 cup
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt to Taste

For Gravy :

Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup (thick)
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Oil - 2 tsp + 2 tsp

Method :

Steps To Make Gravy : (1 to 10 Images)
  • Heat oil in a kadai / frying pan, add cumin seeds, after crackled add onion and saute til the onion becomes light brown colour. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Add ginger garlic paste, saute til its raw smell leaves. (Image 3)
  • Add tomato and saute til the tomato becomes tender. (Image 4)
  • Add in red chili powder, turmeric powder and required salt, saute til its raw smell leaves and allow to cool completely. (Image 5 and 6)

  • Then grind into paste. (Image 7)
  • Then again saute for few minutes in a hot oil. (Image 8)
  • Pour the coconut milk, mix well, bring to boil and keep aside. (Image 9 and 10)

Steps To Make Stuffing : ( 11 to 17 Images)
  • Cut the capsicums in to half and scoop out the centers, then immerse the capsicum in boiling water and cook for about 5minutes. (shown in above image 11)
  • Drain from the water and keep aside.

  • Heat oil in a kadai \ frying pan, add green chili and saute for few seconds. (Image 12)
  • Add green peas and saute for few seconds. (Image 13)
  • Add red chili powder, cumin seeds powder and required salt, saute for an minute. (Image 14)
  • Add paneer and mix well. (Image 15)
  • Add coriander leaves, saute for few seconds and keep aside. (Image 16 and 17)

Steps To Bake in Oven : (18 to 21 Images)
  • Grease the baking dish and pour the gravy. (Image 18)
  • Stuff the capsicum with paneer - peas mixture and arrange them on the gravy. (Image 19)
  • Spread the cheese over the capsicum. (Image 20)
  • Bake at 200 degree Celsius for 10 minutes at pre-heated oven and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Poori or Chapathi.
