Ingredients :

Prawn - 200 gm (peeled, deveined)
Thick Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup (first extract)
Coconut Milk - 1 and 1/2 cup (second extract)
Shallots - 1/2 cup
Green Chili - 3 no
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Steps To Make Coconut Milk Prawn Curry :

  • Grind the shallots and green chili into paste and keep aside. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Temper the mustard seeds and urad dal in hot oil in a pan \ utensil, after splutter add the fenugreek and saute for few seconds. (Image 3)
  • Add the ground onion-green chili mixture and curry leaves, reduce the flame into simmer and saute till the onion raw smell leaves. (Image 4)
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and saute till its raw smell leaves. (Image 5)
  • Add the prawns and saute for an minute. (Image 6)

  • Pour the second extracted coconut milk, mix well, bring to boil and cook for 5mins over simmer only. (Image 7 and 8)
  • Then pour the thick coconut milk, mix all, cook for few seconds and remove from the flame before the curry boils, ready to serve. (Image 9 and 10)
