Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk

Milk - 1 liter
White Sugar - 1 cup |
Steps To Make Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk :
- Boil the milk in a non-stick pan, reduce the flame into simmer and cook until the milk reduced up-to half quantity, by stirring continuously. (Image 1 and 2)
- Then add the sugar and again stir continuously till the milk-sugar mixture becomes thick gravy consistency ie., before the khoya stage. The consistency is shown in the image 3.
- Allow to cool completely, then the milk-sugar mixture thickens little. (Image 4)

- Blend them till creamy. (Image 5 and 6)
- Store in a air-tight container box, refrigerate up to 2 months. (when refrigerated, homemade sweetened condensed milk becomes thicker than the store bought, to lighten it add some milk or use directly)

Usage :
The sweetened condensed milk is used to make egg-less cake, chocolates, cookies, gulab jamun, kulfi, laddu, kheer, halwa and many more recipes. |
