Mushroom and Soya Chunks Balls

Ingredients :

Mushroom SoyaChunks Balls | Cashewnuts Kaalan Kola Urundai Recipe
Mushrooms - 150 gm (chopped)
Soya Chunks - 1 cup (boiled)
Shallots - 1/2 cup
Garlic - 7 cloves
Green Chili - 1 no
Dry Red Chili - 1 no
Cloves - 3 no
Cinnamon Stick - 2 no (2" long)
Bay Leaf - 1 no
Cashewnuts - 1/4 cup
Coconut  - 1/4 cup (grated)
Roasted Gram Flour - 2 tbsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
Oil for deep fry + 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make The Mushroom and Soya Chunks Balls :

  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a kadai \ frying pan, saute the mushrooms over simmer for about 5minutes and keep aside. (Image 1 and 2)
  • In the same kadai, heat a tablespoon of oil, roast the cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaf and dry red chili. (Image 3)
  • Add in the shallots and garlic, saute till the shallots becomes light brown colour. (Image 4)
  • Add in the soya chunks and cashew-nuts, saute for an minute. (Image 5)
  • Add in the coconut and saute for few seconds. (Image 6)

  • Finally add the coriander leaves, again saute for few seconds and allow to cool completely. (Image 7 and 8)
  • Grind the mushroom and soya chunks mixture coarsely. (Image 9)
  • Mix with roasted gram flour and make small balls approximately 10 to 12. (Image 10 and 11)
  • Then deep fry in hot oil till golden brown colour and ready to serve.
