Ingredients :

Mango - 1 no (medium size, banganapalli or alponso)
Coconut Milk - 2 and 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/3 cup
Sago \ Javarisi - 1/2 cup (soaked 1/2 an hour)
Cashewnuts - 10 nos
Raisins - 15 no
Ghee - 1 tbsp

Method :

Preparation :

  • Wash and drain the soaked sago and keep aside. (Image 1)
  • Then make the mango puree and keep aside. (Image 2)

Steps To Make The Mango Sago Payasam :

  • Heat the coconut milk in a pan, add in the soaked sago and cook for 7 to 10mins over simmer or till the sago cooks, stirring frequently. (Image 3)
  • Add in the sugar and cook till the sugar melts. (Image 4)

  • Then remove from the flame and allow to cool, mix with the mango puree. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Separately ghee roast the cashew-nuts and raisins, mix with the payasam and ready to serve. (Image 7 and 8)
