Ingredients :

Idly Dosa Karuveppilai Ellu Podi | CurryLeaves SesameSeeds Powder
Curry Leaves - 1 cup (washed and drained)
Sesame Seeds - 1/2 cup
Urad Dal - 2 tbsp
Dry Red Chili - 3 no
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Karuveppillai Ellu Podi :

  • Dry roast the urad dal and dry red chilli in a hot khadai \ pan over simmer, till the urad dal becomes golden color and keep aside. (Image 1)
  • Similarly dry roast the sesame seeds \ ellu and keep aside. (Image 2)
  • Then dry roast the curry leaves till its moisture reduced. (Image 3 and 4)
  • Cool all the roasted ingredients.

  • Grind the roasted urad dal and dry red chilli into powder. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Add in the remaining ingredients (sesame seeds, curry leaves and required salt) and grind into powder. (Image 7 and 8)
  • Store in a air-tight container box.
