Ingredients :

Hot and Crispy Thengai Eraal \ Iraal Varuval | Coconut Prawns Fry
Prawn \ Eraal - 250 gm (de-veined)
Lemon Juice - 1 no
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
Corn Flour - 2 tbsp
Besan Flour - 2 tbsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Water - required
Oil - Deep Fry
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make The Prawn Fry \ Eraal Varuval :

  • First marinate the prawns with lemon juice and salt for 10 to 15mins. (Image 1)

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the marinated prawns with red chilli powder, coriander seeds powder and pepper powder, mix well and again marinate for 10mins. (Image 2)
  • Mix with the coconut and coriander leaves. (Image 3)
  • Then mix with the rice flour, corn flour and besan flour, if the mixture is dry, add some water and mix well. (Image 4 and 5)

  • Deep in the hot oil till golden brown colour and ready to serve. (Image 6)
