Ingredients :

Kadamba \ Squid \ Calamari - 6 tubes (sliced into 1/4 inch rings)
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (finely chopped)
Ginger - 1 tsp (mashed)
Garlic - 1 tsp (mashed)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Kadamba \ Squid \ Calamari Vathakkal :

  • Heat oil in a hot kadhai, saute the onion and curry leaves till the onion becomes light brown color. (Image 1)
  • Stir in the ginger and garlic till its raw smell leaves. (Image 2)
  • Add in the tomato and saute till it becomes tender and mushy. (Image 4)
  • Then add in the red chili powder, turmeric powder and required salt, saute until the oil is separate. (Image 4)

  • Add in the kadamba \ squid, saute and sprinkle few water, cook for about 7 to 10mins over simmer or till done. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Finally add the coriander leaves, mix all and ready to serve. (Image 7 and 8)
