Vellai Mullangi Vadai | White Radish Fritters -Easy Evening Snack

White Radish \ Vellai Mullangi - 1 cup (grated)
Bengal Gram Flour \ Kadalai Maavu - 1/4 cup
Rice Flour - 1 tbsp
Cooking Soda - 1/4 tsp
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Green Chilli - 2 no (finely chopped)
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Garlic - 2 to 3cloves (mashed)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Salt to Taste
Oil for Deep Fry. |
Steps To Make The Mullangi Vadai \ Radish Fritters :
- First saute the grated radish in a hot kadhai for couple of minutes to remove its raw smell over simmer and allow to cool. (Image 1)
- To make fritters dough, combine the sauteed radish with the onion, green chilli, garlic, fennel seeds, coriander leaves and curry leave, mix well. (Image 2)
- Then add in the bengal gram, rice flour, cooking soda and required salt and mix well. (Image 4)

- Then divide the dough into 10 to 12 small balls and pat into circle. (Image 5 and 6)
- Deep fry in the hot oil in a two batches till golden brown colour and ready to serve. (Image 7 and 8)

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Sambar Rice or Dal Rice. |
