About The Recipe : A favourite snack for any time - Crispy Sankara Meen Pakodas | red snapper fish (or you can use any white flesh fishes) fritters made with simple ingredients that you can easily make at home.

Ingredients :

Fish Pakkodas
Fish - 250 gm (seer fish, pomfret, snapper, barracuda or any white fish)
Onion - 1/4 no (finely chopped)
Green Chilli - 1 no (finely chopped)
Garlic - 2 no (mashed)
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cornflour - 2 tbsp
Large Egg - 1 no
Salt to Taste
Oil for Fry.

Steps To Make The Meen Pakkodas | Fish Fritters :

  • Boil a 2 cup of water with turmeric powder and required salt, then add the fish pieces and cook for 2 mins over medium flame. (Image 1)
  • Remove the fish pieces in the water (use for curry) and cool completely.
  • Then de-skin and de-bone the boiled fish pieces, keep aside.

  • To marinate, beat the egg and onion, green chilli, garlic, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, corn flour and required salt in the mixing bowl. (Image 2 and 3)
  • Then marinate the fish fillets with egg mixture for 15 to 20mins. (Image 4 and 5)

  • After marinate, make small balls and deep fry in hot oil in a small batches till golden brown colour and ready to serve. (Image 6 and 7)

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with mayonnaise or garlic avioli.
