Prawn \ Eraal - 100gm (de-veined)
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Ginger - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Garlic - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Cloves - 3 no
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Green Chilli - 1 no (finely chopped)
Fennel Seeds - 1 tbsp
Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Egg - 1 no
Oil - required
Salt to Taste. |
Steps To Make The Erral Cutlets \ Prawn Patties :
- To make the prawn cutlet mixture, steam the prawns along with coconut, ginger, garlic, cloves, cinnamon stick, turmeric powder and green chilli without water in a vessel. (for pressure cooker - 1 whistle, for idly pan - 5mins) (Image 1 and 2)
- Let cool the prawn mixture.
- Then grind the steamed prawn mixture with fennel seeds, pepper powder and required salt into fine paste. (Image 3 and 4)
- Mix the ground prawn paste with an egg.
- To make the cutlet, make small balls out of the ground paste and flatten them.
- Shallow fry in hot oil and ready to serve. (Image 5 and 6)
