Tasty Thengai Pal Inippu Murukku Sweet Coconut Milk Murukku Snack

Steps To Make The Homemade Murukku Rice Flour :

  • Clean and wash the raw rice.
  • Drain the water and spread on white cloth for overnight or at-least 5 hours to absorb excess water.
  • Grind the raw rice into fine powder.
  • Then dry roast the flour in a heavy bottom kadhai.
  • Sieve the flour and store in a air tight box.

Ingredients :

Sweet Murukku
Roasted Raw Rice Flour - 2 cups
1st Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup
2nd Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Powder - 1/2 cup
Sukku Podi \ Dry Ginger Powder - 1 tsp
Oil for deep fry
Salt - required.

Method :

Steps To Make The Sweet Coconut Milk Murukku :

  • To make the murukku dough, heat the second coconut milk and mix with the rice flour. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Then mix with first coconut milk (+ or -) and knead into soft dough. (Image 3 and 4)

  • To make the murukku, heat enough oil in a kadhai.
  • Separately mix the powdered sugar with sukku podi \ dry ginger powder and keep aside.
  • Take some dough and fill the murukku maker with idiyappam plate. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Then make murukku on ladles and drop them in the hot oil one by one, cook over simmer on both sides until light golden color. Then sprinkle the sugar powder while hot. (Image 7 and 8)
  • Cool the prepared murukku and store in a air-tight box.
  • Self life is around a week.

Serving Suggestion : Serve with Gulab Jamun and Crispy Butter Murukku.
