How To Make The Lemon Macaroons Easily At Home With Step By Steps

Almond \ Badam - 50 gm
Icing Sugar - 1/3 cup
Large Egg White - 1 no
Salt - pinch
Caster Sugar - 1/8 cup
Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
Yellow Food Color - 2 to 3 pinch
For Icing :
Butter - 50 gm
Icing Sugar - 150 gm
Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp (+ or -)
Yellow Food Color - 2 to 3 pinch |
Steps To Make The Lemon Macaroons :
- Line the baking dish with parchment paper, for non-stick baking dish, parchment paper is not required.
- Grind the icing sugar and almond \ badam into fine powder. (Image 1 and 2)
- Then sift the ground mixture into a bowl.

- In a dry bowl, beat the egg white and salt until soft peaks form. (Image 3 and 4)
- Then gradually beat in the caster sugar, one spoon at a time until thick and glossy. (Image 5)
- Separately mix the lemon juice and yellow food color, and gently mix with the egg-sugar mixture. (Image 6 and 7)

- Fold in the shifted almond-sugar mixture and fill the pipping bag with a 1/2" plain nozzle. (Image 8 and 9)
- Pipe out the macaroon mixture on to the baking dish for about 2.5 cm. Then leave it to stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes to form a slight skin at top. This step is very important - that you should be able to touch them slightly without any mixture is sticking to your finger. (Image 10)

- Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15minutes (+ or -) at 170 degree Celsius. (Image 11)

- To make the filling (ie., icing), beat the butter, lemon juice, yellow food color and icing sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. (Image 12 and 13)
- Then sandwich the macaroons together in pairs. (Image 14)
