Healthy Breakfast Thinai Arisi Carrot Idly | Millet Tiffin Recipe

Ingredients :

Thinai Dosai Batter - 3 cups
Carrot - 3 no
Green Chilly - 1 or 2 no
Coriander Leaves - 3 tbsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make The Carrot Idly :

  • Wash and grate the carrots. Then finely chop the green chilly, coriander leaves and curry leaves. (Image 1)
  • Mix the grated carrot, finely chopped green chilly, coriander leaves and curry leaves with the prepared thinai arisi idly batter and mix well. If the batter is too thick, add required water and mix well. (Image 2 and 3)
  • To make the carrot idly, boil 1 and 1/2 cm of water in the idly pan or required water, meantime grease two or three idly molds with oil or use damp cloth, spoon the prepared thinai-carrot batter into the all round indentations. And arrange the idly plates in the pan. (Image 4)

  • Cover and cook for 12 to 15mins over medium flame. (Image 5)
  • To take the idly, pour drops of water around each idly and invert on the plate. (Image 6 and 7)
  • And ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with the Drumstick Sambar and Chutney.
