Bread Pudding | Easy Homemade Whole Wheat And Honey Bread Pudding

About The Recipe - Bread Pudding :

A very simple bread pudding made with the homemade whole wheat honey bread with dry fruits and nuts ( raisins, figs, dates, almonds and cashews ). If you have bread and eggs at home, then you can make easily within an hour. To make the bread pudding, just soak the bread in a egg-milk mixture and bake until the top turns golden brown colour.

Ingredients :

Homemade Bread Pudding
Homemade Whole Wheat Honey Bread With Dry Fruits And Nuts - 6 to 7 slices
Egg - 4 nos
Demerara Sugar - 1/4 cup
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
Warm Milk - 2 cups
Butter - 3 tbsp

Method :

Steps To Make The Bread Pudding :

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, demerara sugar and vanilla essence, until the demerara sugar dissolved. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Add in the warm milk and mix well till combined, keep aside. (Image 3 and 4)

  • Remove the crust from the bread and quarter the each slices. (Image 5)
  • In a greased oven proofed dish, arrange the sliced bread. For plain bread, add quarter cup of mixed dry fruits and nuts like raisins, chopped figs, chopped dates, almonds and cashews. (Image 6)
  • Pour the whisked egg-milk mixture over the bread and soak for 15 minutes to 20 minutes. (Image 7)
  • Sprinkle the butter on the top and ready to bake. (Image 8)
Homemade Bread Pudding
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 180 degree Celsius in a pre-heated oven, until the top turns golden brown colour and ready to serve. (Image 9)
