But both the mint and coriander leaves together have several nutritious uses like to cure stomatch ache, anemia, digestion, skin care and many more. Ingredients :

rice variety
Pudina \ Mint Leaves - 1/4 cup
Kothamalli \ Coriander Leaves - 1/4 cup
Green Chili - 1 no
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/8 tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Dry Red Chili - 1 no
Cashew nuts - 10 no
Oil - 2 tsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Salt to Taste
Cooked Rice - 2 cups.

Steps To Make The Pudina Kothamalli Saadam | Mint And Coriander Leaves Rice :

  • To make the pudina kothamalli paste, heat two teaspoon of oil in a kadhai \ pan, add in the mint leaves, coriander leaves and green chili. (Image 1)
  • Saute over simmer until its raw smell leaves and cool the mint-coriander mixture completely. (Image 2)
  • Then grind into fine paste with required water and keep aside. (Image 3 and 4)

  • To make the pudina kothamalli saadam, heat the butter in a kadhai \ pan, temper the mustard seeds and urad dal, after splutter stir in the asafoetida, curry leaves, dry red chili and cashew nuts until the cashews turns golden colour. (Image 5)
  • Then add in the prepared mint-coriander mixture paste and saute for an minute. (Image 6 and 7)
  • Finally add in the cooked rice, mix well and ready to serve. (Image 8 and 9)

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with the Potato Poriyal.
