Homemade Rose Milk Recipe, milk is flavored with rose syrup, is made from the fresh paneer rose | paneer roja petals and natural pink food colour is made from beetroot. Follow the recipe as below...

Ingredients :

Paneer Roses | Paneer Roja - 250 gm
Water
Sugar
Beetroot - 1 medium size (to make pink food colour or use store food pink colour)
Milk
Ice Cubes.

Method :

Steps To Make The Rose Milk from Rose Petals :

  • To make the fresh rose water, separate the rose petals from the paneer roses, then wash and drain out the excess water and keep aside. (Image 1)
  • Boil one and half cup of water, pour the hot boiling water over the rose petals and mix well. Then rest the rose petals in the water for about three to four hours. (Image 2, 3 and 4)
  • Drain the water and you get fresh rose water, it will be dark pink colour and keep aside. (Image 5)

  • Meantime to make the pink food colour, boil a cup of water, add in the de-skinned and sliced beetroot and cook for about five minutes. (Image 6)
  • Then take out the beetroot. (Image 7)
  • Add a teaspoon of sugar into the beetroot juice and continue cooking until its raw smell leaves completely. Cool completely and you get natural pink food colour, it will be blood red colour and keep side. (Image 8 and 9)

  • Preparation, measure the rose water and take equal quantity of sugar. I have got one and quarter cup of rose water, so one and quarter cup of sugar is required and three tablespoon of prepared pink colour is required. (Image 10)

  • To make the rose syrup, heat the sugar and half a cup of water, cook until it's dissolved. Also take out the scum on the top. (Image 11 and 12)
  • Add in the prepared rose water, natural pink colour (or use store pink colour) and mix well. (Image 13 and 14)
  • When it starts boiling, remove from the flame, cool completely and rose syrup is ready. (Image 15)

  • To make the rose milk, blend the 3/4 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of rose syrup with some ice cubes and serve chill. (Image 16 and 17)
