Ingredients :

Thinai | Foxtail Millet Sevai - 100 gm (or any millet sevai)
Cashews - 10 to 15 no
Raisins - 2 to 3 tbsp
Milk - 1 litre
Sugar - 1/2 cup (+ or -)
Cardamom - 3 pods (crushed or powdered)
Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp

Method :

Steps To Make The Thinai Sevai Pal Payasam :

  • Heat ghee in a hot kadhai and roast the cashews till golden colour and keep aside. (Image 1)
  • Then roast the raisins and keep aside. (Image 2)
  • Then roast the thinai sevai till golden colour and keep aside. (Image 3 and 4)

  • To make the thinai pal payasam, heat the milk and bring to boil. (Image 5)
  • Add in the ghee roasted thinai sevai, mix well and cook for about 5 minutes over medium flame. (Image 6)
  • Then add in the sugar and cook till its dissolved. (Image 7)
  • Then add in the roasted cashews and raisins and mix well. (Image 8)
  • Finally add the crushed cardamom, mix well and ready to serve. (Image 9 and 10)

Serving Suggestion: Serve hot or chilled with Methu Vadai or Vazhai Poo Vadai.
