Ingredients :

Aval | Poha | Flattened Rice - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/3 cup
Almonds - 20 no
Cashew nuts - 20 no
Cardamom - 2 pods
Ghee - 3 tbsp + extra.

Steps To Make The Aval Laddu | Flattened Rice Laddoo :

  • Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a hot kadhai | pan, roast the almonds and cashews till golden and keep aside. (Image 1)
  • Then roast the aval | flattened rice with two tablespoon of ghee until crunchy and keep aside. (Image 2)

  • To make the laddu mixture, first grind the sugar and cardamoms into fine powder and transfer into a mixing bowl. (Image 3 and 4)
  • Then grind the roasted almonds and cashews and transfer into the mixing bowl. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Then grind the roasted aval into powder and transfer into the mixing bowl. Now the laddu mixture is ready. (Image 7 and 8)

  • To make the laddu, mix all the ground ingredients, make laddu | small balls with the required hot ghee and ready to serve. (Image 9, 10 and 11)

Serving Suggestion: Serve the laddu with Butter Murukku.
