Ingredients :

Attukal Paaya with Coconut Milk
Attukal | Mutton Leg | Goat Leg - 1 set (cleaned, washed)
Sambar Onion | Shallots - 1\2 cup (chopped)
Garlic - 10 cloves
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Large Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Green Chili - 2 no (slit)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Gingelly Oil | Sesame Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :
Attukal Paaya with Coconut Milk

Steps To Make The Attu Kal Paya With Coconut Milk:

  • Heat the oil in a pressure cooker pan, saute the onion, garlic and curry leaves till the onion turns light brown colour. (Image 1)
  • Add in the ginger garlic paste till its raw smell leaves. (Image 2)
  • Add in the tomato and green chili, saute till the tomato turns tender. (Image 3)
  • Add in the attukal | mutton leg and stir for few minutes. (Image 4)
  • Stir in the red chili powder, cumin seeds powder, pepper powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and required salt. (Image 5)
  • Add 2 cups of water, mix well and bring to boil. (Image 6)
Attukal Paaya with Coconut Milk
  • Cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle and 30minutes over simmer, when all the steam has released, open the pan and check the attukal are cooked fully. If the attukal is not cooked means again pressure cook for an whistle and 10 minutes over simmer. (Image 7)
  • Now the coconut milk, mix well and bring to boil. (Image 8)
  • Finally add the coriander leaves and ready to serve. (Image 9)
