Simple Sweet Siruthaniyam Varagu Sevai | Koda Millet Sevai recipe is a very easy breakfast | tiffin recipe with simple ingredients and just three steps. First soak the sevai, then steam in a idly pan and then finally mix with the coconut and sugar. Instead of sugar, we can also use jaggery or palm jaggery to make the dish healthy. Ingredients :

Varagu Seevai | Millet Seevai - 200gm
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Sugar or Jaggery- required
Crushed Cardamom - 2 pods.

Steps To Make The Sweet Varagu Sevai :

  • Immerse the varagu seevai with enough water for about 5minutes in a bowl. (Image 1)
  • Then drain the water and keep aside. (Image 2)
  • To steam, boil 1 and 1/2 cup of water or required water in a idly pan, place the top idly plate and cover by wet cloth. Then spread the varagu sevai evenly on top. (Image 3)
  • Cover and steam for 10minutes.

  • To make the sweet varagu sevai, transfer the steamed varagu sevai in to a mixing bowl, add the grated coconut, sugar and cardamom while hot, mix all and ready to serve. (Image 4, 5 and 6)
