Ingredients :

Mutton | Goat Meat - 250 gm
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Cloves - 3 no
Star Anise - 1 no
Shallots | Sambar Onion - 1\2 cup (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Egg - 1 no
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Gingelly Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt To Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Mutton Muttai Sukka | Goat Meat Egg Sukka:

  • Heat the oil in a pressure cooker pan, roast the cinnamon stick, cloves and star anise, then add in the sambar onion and saute until the onion turns slightly brown colour. (Image 1)
  • Add in the tomato and saute until the tomato turns tender. (Image 2)
  • Add in the mutton pieces and saute for an minute. (Image 3)
  • Add in the red chili power, cumin seeds powder, fennel seeds powder and turmeric powder, stir for few seconds. (Image 4)
  • Then add a cup of water and required salt, mix well and bring to boil. (Image 5)
  • Cover and pressure cook for an whistle and 20 minutes over simmer. When all the steam has released, open the pan and mix well. If there is more water means cook till little dry. (Image 6)

  • Then break an egg in the center, add required salt for egg and make an scrambled egg. (Image 7 and 8)
  • Mix all together, stir in the pepper powder, finally add the coriander leaves, mix well and ready to serve. (Image 9 and 10)

Serving Suggestion: Serve the mutton sukka with mutton curry, rasam and curd rice. Also goes well with chapathi and poori.
