Ingredients :

Suvarotti | Manneeral - large 1 no or small 2 no
Shallots | Sambar Onion - 1\2 cup (chopped)
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Tomato - 1\2 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1\2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Rock Salt - as required
Gingelly Oil - 2 tbsp

Method :

Steps To Make The Suvarotti | Manneeral Sukka:

  • Wash and then cut the suvarotti into small pieces for about 1", keep aside. (Image 1) 
  • To make the sukka, heat the oil in a pressure cooker pan, saute the onion and curry leaves until the onion turns slightly golden colour. (Image 2)
  • Add in the tomato and saute for an minute. (Image 3)
  • Add in the suvarotti and saute for an minute. (Image 4)

  • Stir in the red chili powder, pepper powder, cumin seeds powder, turmeric powder and required salt. (Image 5)
  • Add 1\2 cup of water, mix well and bring to boil. (Image 6)
  • Cover and pressure cook for an whistle and 3 minutes over simmer. When all the steam has released, open the pan. (Image 7)
  • Then again cook till dry. Finally add the coriander leaves and ready to serve. (Image 8)
