Ingredients :

Pudalangai | Snake Gourd - 1 cup (cleaned, sliced)
Lemon Juice - 1\4 no
Crushed Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1\2 tsp (optional)
Corn Flour - 3 tbsp
Rice Flour or Maida - 3 tbsp
Oil for deep fry
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Pudalangai | Snake Gourd Rings :

  • In a mixing bowl, add the sliced pudalangai, lemon juice, ginger garlic, red chili powder, turmeric powder and required salt, mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Add the corn flour and rice flour, toss well. (Image 3 and 4)

  • Then immediately deep fry the pudalangai in small batches, in the hot oil over medium flame until golden brown colour. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Serve hot.

i havent heard anything like this before. really innovative. But instead of deep frying, can it be air fryed to make it healthy?
