Ingredients :

Kollu Horsegram Vadai
Kollu | Horsegram - 1 cup
Shallots | Sambar Onion - 1\2 cup (chopped)
Green Chili - 1 or 2 no (finely chopped)
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1\4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Salt to Taste
Oil for deep fry.

Method :

Steps To Make The Kollu | Horsegram Vadai:

  • Soak the kollu for overnight with enough water. (Image 1)
  • Drain the water and grind into coarsely. (Image 2 and 3)

  • To make the vadai mixture, in a mixing bowl, add the ground kollu mixture, shallots, green chili, fennel seeds, asafoetida, coriander leaves, curry leaves and required salt, mix well altogether. (Image 4 and 5)
  • Then heat the enough oil and make the kollu vadai's in small batches, cook over medium flame until golden brown colour. Ready to serve. (Image 6)
